Good Wednesday Morning

Garfield-Mornings-garfield-172375_312_318That is the way the local weatherman begins each morning news cast.  “Good Wednesday Morning!”  or  “Good Thursday Morning” , you get the idea.   He is always boisterous with the greeting, probably because he knows most people are still waiting for the coffee to brew and are not positive what day it is.

Sometimes I wonder what would happen if he got it wrong.  What pooh-and-pigletif he told everyone it was Tuesday when it was really Monday? I am sure many people would pause and go wait a minute…  But there are probably at least a couple of people who, if caught on the right day, would begin to panic and then start a mental review of the last 24 hours.  (And yes I have been know to get my days confused.)

Today is Wednesday but it is also Monday for me.  Tonight is my first night back to work for the week. (The monetarily paying job.)  There is going to be a full moon either tonight or tomorrow so that should be interesting.  I know some say that there isn’t proof that the phases of the moon affect how people act, but those people have obviously never worked in anything related to the medical field or in retail.

rowingI hope this week goes smoothly and the work part passed swiftly.  I was supposed to attend a Convention next weekend but the way the financial situation looks I may not be able to make it after all.

Once upon a time there was a woman who was a writer. She was either cursed or blessed from birth to be so and there was much debate on which it was. One day a very discouraging (and not very original) person told her not to give up her day job. The woman smiled and said that was a wonderful idea. Following the unwittingly clever advice of her critic, the woman found a job working nights, which left her days free to write. Even better, the night job had an unusual schedule which packed two weeks worth of work into one, so the writer was able to have every other week off to sit on her front porch, daydream, and of course write. However, working at night and writing during the day left little time for sleep, so the poor writer occasionally went a little mad, but she decided it was an acceptable price to pay to be able to continue following her curse-blessing. Also she likes tea. :)
